Four Gundam Meister:

• Setsuna F. Seiei 

         Setsuna F Seiei is the primary protagonist of the show and was discovered by Celestial Being at the age of 16 for having special potential as a pilot. He is currently a Gundam Meister and pilots the Gundam Exia, and later the 00 Gundam, both specialized in melee combat. Setsuna's real name is Soran Ibrahim; with Setsuna being his codename. He was once a child soldier in the war-torn Krugis Republic. During this time, he murdered his own parents under Ali Al-Saachez's influence in order to prove his devotion to God, and hence bears a deep hatred towards Saachez. Due to his previous religious brainwashing (and awakening from it), Setsuna claims to no longer believes that God exists, yet still debates the role of God in people's lives, suggesting that he still believes in God's existence. Disappearing at the end of the first season, Setsuna reappears four years later and rejoins Celestial Being. Setsuna F Seiei is voiced by Mamoru Miyano and Yuka Nishigaki (child) in Japanese and Brad Swaile in English.

• Lockon Stratos

Neil Dylandy

          Born Neil Dylandy, Lockon Stratos decided to join Celestial Being because his parents and younger sister were killed in a terrorist bombing. As the eldest pilot, he is considered the pilots' team leader, and sports a more easy-going, flamboyant personality as compared to the other Gundam Meisters. He owns an orange Haro to help pilot the Gundam Dynames and has a personal feud with Ali Al-Saachez, who plotted the terrorist bombing that caused the death of his family. After being killed at the climax of the first season, his younger twin brother Lyle Dylandy chooses to take up the title of Lockon Stratos and becomes the pilot of the Cherudim Gundam. Neil Dylandy is voiced by Shinichiro Miki in Japanese and Alex Zahara in English.

Lyle Dylandy

          First seen in episode 9 of the first season, he was visiting the grave site of his family. Four years after the death of Neil Dylandy, Setsuna F Seiei recruits Neil's twin brother, Lyle, to become the new Lockon Stratos and pilot of the Cherudim Gundam. He is shown to be easy-going like his brother, but continues to struggle with distinguishing himself from Neil. Originally a member of anti-government organization Katharon, Lyle joins Celestial Being for his own reasons. Lyle Dylandy is voiced by Shinichiro Miki in Japanese and Alex Zahara in English.

• Allelujah Haptism

          Allelujah Haptism spent his childhood as an orphan in the Human Reform League as a Super Soldier experimental subject, designated "E-57". While generally gentle and rational compared to the other Gundam Meisters, he has a harsher, unstable, and outright sadistic alter ego, named Hallelujah inside him, which was the result of his distorted Quantum brainwaves. His main rival in combat is another subject of the Super Soldier program, the HRL pilot Soma Peries who shares a mysterious connection with him. He is the pilot of Gundam Kyrios, and later, the Arios Gundam, both of which specialize in high mobility and are able to transform into fighter jets. Allelujah is imprisoned during the four year time-skip between both seasons, but he ends up being rescued by his companions after the other three Meisters reunite. Allelujah Haptism is voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino and Masako Jou (child) in Japanese and Richard Ian Cox in English.

• Tieria Erde

          Gundam Meister of the heavily armored Gundam Virtue with its hidden form Gundam Nadleeh and its successor unit, the Seravee Gundam with its second unit on its back the Seraphim Gundam, Tieria Erde treats Veda's orders with high regard, valuing the mission above all other issues. As a result of his arrogance and cold attitude towards others, his relationship with the other Gundam Meisters got off a rocky start initially. However, his attitude towards the other Meisters and the Ptolemaios crew gradually improves after being protected by Lockon Stratos from an attack in a battle against the AEU and Union, an action which costs Lockon the use of his dominant eye. Of all the Gundam Meisters, Tieria is the most enigmatic, with an unknown past and a peculiar connection with the Innovators. Contrary of the other Meisters who were either K.I.A. or M.I.A. in the end of the first season, Tieria continued to work for Celestial Being during the 4 year time-skip. At the end of the second season, Tieria is killed by Ribbons Almark while trying to stop him from taking control of Veda. Tieria however, manages to fuse his consciousness with Veda itself, living within Veda. As a last act he takes control of Seraphim from Veda's core, and uses its power to shut down all enemy Gundams to save his teammates. Tieria Erde is voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya in Japanese and Samuel Vincent in English.

Crew of the Ptolemaios

Supporting the Gundam Meisters is the crew of the Ptolemaios lead by Sumeragi Lee Noriega. At the end of the first season, the Ptolemaios was severely damaged and many of its crew were killed. During the second season, the new Ptolemaios II enters service crewed by the surviving members of the original Ptolemaios. They are later joined by Saji Crossroad and Soma Peries, the latter after recovering her memory as Marie Parfacy.

First season

The main tagline for the first season is Rebirth Begins Through Destruction.

The series is set in 2307 AD. As a result of the depletion of fossil fuels, humanity had to search for a new source of power. The power was found in the form of massive arrays of solar power collectors orbiting the Earth, and supported by three orbital elevators, each one serving one of the three "power blocs" on the planet, namely Union, controlling the region surrounding North America, Human Reform League ), consisting of China, Russia and India, and AEU, which controls mainland Europe.

With this nearly inexhaustible source of energy benefiting only the major powers and their allies, constant warfare erupts around the globe among minor countries for fuels and energy. Countries that once economically relied on the sale of fossil fuels have plunged into poverty. Some even believe that solar energy threatened the "promised land of God", resulting in the 20-year Solar Wars. This chaos led to the formation of a private military organization, called Celestial Being dedicated to eradicating war and uniting humanity through the use of four humanoid machines called Gundams. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 follows four mobile suit pilots termed Gundam Meisters , sided with Celestial Being. The main protagonist is 16-year old Setsuna F Seiei , a taciturn young man who grew up in the war-torn Krugis Republic. He pilots the GN-001 Gundam Exia, a high mobility mobile suit effective in melee combat.

Unable to counter Celestial Being's superior technology, the three major powers eventually unite into the United Nations Army in order to counter Celestial Being's armed interventions. In order to fight the Gundams, the United Nations Army employed the help of Laguna Harvey. Harvey, a Celestial Being intelligence agent turned traitor, provides them with 30 GN-X, mobile suits equipped with pseudo-GN Drives. As the United Nations resist Celestial Being's interventions, a second team of Gundams, known as Team Trinity, appears and assists in the Meisters' eradication of war, albeit in a much more cruel and cold-blooded fashion, in contrast with the original Meisters' less-aggressive nature of armed intervention.

Alejandro Corner, a former Celestial Being observer who plans to make use of the chaos and destruction created by Celestial Being to rule a reconstructed world, subsequently takes over Veda, Celestial Being's supercomputer which is located on the moon. Without the tactical aid from the organization'sartificial intelligence, Celestial Being is easily overwhelmed and overpowered by GN-X units and their superior numbers.

The United Nations Army initiates Operation Fallen Angels to destroy the Gundams, having discovered the location of the Meisters' mothership, Ptolemaios. During the operation, Ali Al-Saachez kills Lockon Stratos after a climactic battle. Alejandro Corner, in his unique custom mobile armor Alvatore, attacks Gundam Exia as the GN-X units proceed to destroy the Ptolemaios and the remaining Gundams. Exia struggles with the monstrous Alvatore, but in the end succeeds in killing Alejandro. Graham Aker, an ace pilot of the United Nations Army, then challenges Setsuna to a fight, seeking revenge for his fallen comrades and questioning the purpose of Gundams' existence. The fight results in the destruction of the GN-Flag, while the Exia is heavily damaged.

Second season

Four years have passed since the final battle between Celestial Being and the UN Forces. Humanity, having established the Earth Sphere Federation, forms an autonomous peace-keeping force, A-Laws, separate from and above the formal Federation army. Given unfettered discretion, A-Laws is charged with the duty to further unify nations, enforce the will of mankind, and dispose of terrorist cells. Unknown to the general public, however, is that the A-Laws misuse their power and employ inhumane tactics to oppress freedoms, doctrines, and ideologies, all in the name of 'unity'.

Saji Crossroad has followed the path to becoming a space engineer, to keep his promise to Louise Halevy. But he ends up being mistaken for a member of the dissident organization Katharon and is unjustly imprisoned. Louise herself is compelled to become involved in Federation government reform and joined A-Laws as a mobile suit pilot during the four-year gap, using her family inheritance to fund A-Laws research.

Meanwhile, Setsuna, having survived the battle with Graham Aker four years ago and is in hiding, has witnessed a change in the world due to the actions of Celestial Being. Setsuna tries to confront the A-Laws by himself with his battered Gundam Exia, but is easily overpowered by their newer models. He is soon rescued by Tieria Erde, piloting his new mobile suit, the Seravee Gundam.

By combining the GN Drives of Exia and 0 Gundam, Celestial Being's engineers manage to complete Aeolia's plans for an advanced mobile suit with twin GN drives - the 00 Gundam - which is entrusted to Setsuna. To pilot the two remaining new units, Lockon Stratos' twin brother is invited to assume his brother's codename and former position as the pilot of the Cherudim Gundam, and afterAllelujah Haptism is rescued from the prison he was being detained in during the timeskip, he assumes the command of Arios Gundam.

Unknown to Celestial Being and the A-Laws, a third party is manipulating both sides of the conflict. This group call themselves "Innovators", composed of Alejandro Corner's former assistant Ribbons Almark, and his six subordinates. Subsequently, it is revealed that Aeolia Schenberg's plan is to ensure humanity's survival; unite the world's factions through Celestial Being's armed interventions and then advance humanity into deep space and undergo Innovation, a trans-human process.

• Gundam Exia

          The GN-001 Gundam Exia is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Setsuna F Seiei during the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Exia is the second Gundam to appear in the series as it overpowers and destroys the AEU's latest mobile suit, the Enact, during a public demonstration of the Enact's capabilities. Designed for melee combat, Exia's primary weapon is a massive metal blade mounted on its right forearm, which can be folded down to reveal a beam gun. Additional hand-held swords, beam blades and shield complement Exia's armament. While the Exia is in battle with Ali Al-Saachez piloting the stolen Gundam Throne Zwei, the death of Aeolia Schenberg triggers a system trap and activates Exia's Trans-Am system, releasing the Gundam's full potential. During the battle at Lagrange point 1, Exia is severely damaged during its confrontation with Graham Aker in an upgraded Flag, the GN-Flag, and left drifting in space. The partially repaired Exia makes a short appearance during the first episode of the second season. Although it can stand its ground against the GN-XIII, it is no match for the newer Ahead. Celestial Being recovers the Exia after its battle at the Proud colony and installs the Exia's GN Drive on the 00 Gundam. A repaired and upgraded Exia, dubbed the R2, makes another appearance in the last episode of the second season, when Setsuna transfers from the wrecked 00 Gundam to pilot the Exia against the 0 Gundam, piloted by Ribbons Allmark.

• Gundam Dynames

           The GN-002 Gundam Dynames is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Lockon Stratos ( Neil Dylandy). Dynames is the third Gundam to appear in the series when it provides fire support for the Exia during a public demonstration of the Enact's capabilities. Designed for long-range snipping, Dynames's primary weapons is a long-barreled beam rifle. For close combat, the Dynames has a pair of beam pistol beam sabers. The Dynames is also outfitted with several shields and missiles. Its most powerful weapon however is an extreme long-range sniper rifle, an optional stationary armament capable of targeting and sniping targets in planetary orbit. During the battle at Lagrange point 1, The Dynames is heavily damaged when Lockon Stratos shields an immobile Gundam Virtue piloted by Tieria Erde from an enemy mobile suit, causing Stratos to lose his dominant eye.

• Gundam Kyrios

           The GN-003 Gundam Kyrios is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Allelujah Haptism during the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Kyrios is a high-mobility suit that can transform into a jet-fighter. Its primary weapon are a double-barreled sub-machine gun which can operate in both flight and mobile suit modes. For close combat, Kyrios has two beam sabers as well as a shield sporting a pincer claw and a retractable heat blade. Optional equipment include weapons containers which are attached during flight-mode, various missile launchers, a pair of beam cannons, and additional thrusters for increased speed. Kyrios also has the ability to use a GN Field though the barrier is not as large to that of Virtue's. At the end of the first season, Kyrios is captured by the UN Army, but not before Allelujah ejects Kyrios's GN Drive to prevent it from falling into the UN Army's hands.Celestial Being eventually recovers the GN Drive and installs it on the Arios Gundam by the second seasons.

• Gundam Virtue

          One of the protagonist units of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the GN-005 Gundam Virtue boasts sufficient firepower to independently annihilate numerically superior forces. Its primary weapon is the GN Bazooka, an energy cannon that fires massive blasts capable of destroying multiple enemy mobile suits in a single shot. Due to the GN Bazooka's slow rate of fire, the Virtue is also equipped with a pair of shoulder mounted, double barreled GN Cannons and a pair of GN beam sabers (the latter are rarely used however as the Virtue's heavy armor plating severely limits its speed and maneuverability in melee combat). A spherical GN particle barrier can also be generated from specialized projectors mounted along Virtue's chassis for added defense or other applications such as weight reduction during shutdown for ease of transportation with constant generator activity When the Trans-Am System is activated, the charging time of Virtue's GN Bazooka is drastically lowered and the shot becomes stronger. In emergency circumstances, the bulky armor of the Virtue is removable and can be ejected during battle to convert into an alternate high-mobility mode, Nadleeh.

• Gundam Nadleeh

           The uncovered high-mobility mode of the Gundam Virtue, The GN-004 Gundam Nadleeh is slimmer and more mobile than the Virtue, Nadleeh specializes in high mobility and is armed with a GN Beam Rifle and a GN Shield. Because the Virtue's armor lacks additional weapon mounts, Nadleeh's weapons are usually kept stored on the Ptolemy and must be either delivered to or picked up by Nadleeh. While waiting for its own armaments, Nadleeh is able to defend itself with Virtue's beam sabers or by converting Virtue's GN Cannons into a handheld configuration. The Nadleeh is also equipped with an emergency program called the Trial System, which enables it to control any mobile suit connected to Veda in the event of their capture. When the Trans-Am System is activated, it boosts Nadleeh's specs to three times the normal amount and its acceleration causes afterimages to appear. The Nadleeh is heavily damaged in battle with U.N.'s GN-X suits. Celestial Being recovers the remains of Nadleeh, along with Tieria Erde. The GN Drive is then installed in Seravee.

• GN Arms

         The GNR-001 GN Arms is a mobile armor/weapons platform created for Celestial Being's Gundams. The GN Arms uses GN particles to power its weapons and propulsion. It can draw these particles from its internal condensers or from a Gundam's GN Drive while they are docked. The Arms can act as backup combat support for the Gundam(s) or transform to dock with the mobile suit as a mobile armor (in this form it is called GN Armor). Only 2 are known to exist (the Type-E for Exia, and the Type-D for the Dynames).

Season 2:

• 00 Gundam

          The GN-0000 00 Gundam is the successor unit to the Gundam Exia and piloted by main protagonist Setsuna F. Seiei. As Celestial Being's first fourth-generation Mobile Suit, the 00 Gundam (pronounced Double-O Gundam) possesses many of the previous generations' standard features, including the GN Drive and Trans-Am System, but also introduces the Twin Drive System. The system uses two GN Drives with compatible GN particle production as the basis for the system's operation, with their productive synergy, the amount of particles the two drives can produce is squared. 00 Gundam's synchronized Twin Drive System allows the 00 Gundam for high speed combat and immediate GN Field generation, as well as increased particle output.

The 00 Gundam's weapons consists of two GN Sword IIs, two GN Beam Sabers, and two GN Shields that combine together. They can also function as katar-like weapons.

• Cherudim Gundam

          The GN-006 Cherudim Gundam is the successor unit of the Gundam Dynames and piloted by protagonist Lyle Dylandy, twin brother of deceased protagonist Neil Dylandy. Like the Dynames can use a Sniper Mode, by exposing a forehead scope used specifically with a rifle-like control device within the cockpit. The cockpit also contains a customized dock for Lockon's orange Haro. The Cherudim is equipped with a dedicated precision targeting camera located in its head, above the V-Fin, similar to Dynames. In addition, during Trans-Am it deploys a HoloScreen, a targeting unit stored in the backpack which is used to boost Cherudim's accuracy by increasing the speed at which it processes targeting information. The Cherudim's primary armament is its GN Sniper Rifle II, which is stored on the right shoulder. Folded in half for storage, it can be used in this configuration as a short-to-medium-range three-barrel Vulcan gun. Its other main weapons are its GN Beam Pistol IIs stored in its backpack. Unlike the Dynames, the Cherudim is not equipped with Beam Sabers. However, The GN Beam Pistol II can serve as its melee weapon, sporting an anti-beam coating capable of blocking enemy beam sabers and can be used as an axe. The 4 GN Micro Missile Pods that make up the front skirt armor house 8 GN Micro Missiles that are identical to those used by the 0 Raiser. Finally, the Cherudim is equipped with the Shield Bit system which allows all nine GN Shield Bits, two of which are mounted to the left shoulder as a shield, another two on the knees and the others mounted around the GN Drive on its rear waist to be remotely controlled and used for defensive purposes, though they also store a beam gun for offense as well similar to the Throne Zwei's GN Fangs. Four Shield Bits can combine into one in order to emit a more powerful beam.

• Arios Gundam

          The GN-007 Arios Gundam is the successor unit to the Gundam Kyrios and piloted by protagonist Allelujah Haptism. Like the Kyrios, the Arios can also transform into a mobile armor. The Arios is equipped with two dual-barreled GN Beam Rifles which can rapidly fire beam shots. Also attached to each of the unit's wrists are a pair of small GN submachine guns which can fire at the same rate as the Arios's GN Beam Rifle. A pair of beam sabers are also attached to the lower part of the unit's legs and can slice through a GNX-XIII's GN rifle/lance with ease. Its prow, called the GN Beam Shield while in the mobile armor mode, can be used as a claw similar to the GN Heat Blade/Shield of Kyrios and can also be used defensively in mobile suit mode using a defense mechanism that's different from GN-Fields, though its never seen being used defensively in the anime. Optional armaments include the GN Archer, which combines with the Arios in mobile armor mode to form the Archer Arios. When the Trans-Am system is activated, the Arios's speed is boosted 3 times, giving it speed fast enough to produce afterimages.

• Seravee Gundam

           The GN-008 Seravee Gundam is the successor unit to the Gundam Virtue and is piloted by protagonist Tieria Erde. The Seravee Gundam carries over the heavy armament concept and the Trans-Am System. Like the Virtue, it wields four cannons, though they are slimmer. Said cannons are placed in pairs at the knees and on the back of the unit, and a pair of GN Bazookas. They can also be attached onto the two cannons at the back which can then fire a charged high-density, compressed blast known as "Buster Cannon". The combined form of the GN Bazookas is called "Double Bazooka", and can also switch to Burst mode to fire a more powerful shot. If it is fired together with the four cannons it is known as "Hyper Bazooka". Attaching the Double Bazooka onto the right cannon at the back will form the "Double Bazooka Cannon", while switching to Burst mode will become "Double Bazooka Buster Cannon". It is also equipped with a pair of GN Beam sabers which are attached to the wrists of the unit. The two knee-mounted cannons and the two shoulder cannons hide a pair of hands, which can be equipped with beam sabers. There is a torso-sized head that resembles a Gundam's on the back of the Seravee, it is a GN Particle emitter and rear view camera, which generates GN Fields when the V-fins split to expose the eyes (known as Face Burst mode), which is actually the Seraphim Gundam. The GN Field produced by it can also be used to focus a powerful cohesive blast, using the four smaller cannons, at the front. While Trans-Am is activated, the GN Particle output is increased to thrice its normal amount. The Seravee is also equipped with the "Seraphim System" which is actually the torso-sized head and shoulder cannons of the Seravee, which separates from the main unit and transforms, becoming the Seraphim Gundam.

• Seraphim Gundam

           The GN-009 Seraphim Gundam is the high mobility mode of the Seravee Gundam and successor unit to the Gundam Nadleeh. The Seraphim is armed with a pair of hands that can turn into GN Cannons and have the ability to pass through GN fields, and it also has a pair of GN Beam Sabers hidden inside. When utilizing the Seraphim Gundam, the pilot's seat in Seravee performs a 180-degree turn into the Seraphim's cockpit prior to Seraphim's separation from Seravee. The Seravee, while pilotless, could be controlled via an interface in the Seraphim. The Seraphim is also equipped with a increased performance Trial System called the Trial Field, which has a wider effective range and can shut down any unit linked to Veda. After linking his mind to the Seraphim, Tieria activates this special ability via Veda, thereby effectively stopping Gagas' suicide attack against Ptolemy 2 in episode 24. However, Seraphim Gundam was soon shot down by Ribbon's mobile suit.

• 0 Raiser

          The GNR-010 0 Raiser is a mobile weapons platform specifically designed to complement the 00 Gundam. It can combine with 00 Gundam to form the 00 Raiser. Outwardly the unit looks very similar to the GN Sefer. The 0 Raiser helps stabilize the 00's Twin Drive system and has the ability to amplify 00 Gundam's Trans-Am System, quadrupling the GN particle output of either one of the twin drives. On its own, the 0 Raiser is equipped with GN Micro Missiles, GN Beam Machineguns, and GN Vulcans. Saji Crossroad is the current pilot of the unit but while connected to 00 Gundam it does not require a pilot.

• GN Archer

           The GNR-101A GN Archer, pronounced as "Gun Archer", is a mobile weapons platform designed to specifically support the Arios Gundam in mobile armor mode in a manner not too dissimilar to the Kyrios's tail-booster. When docked with the Arios, the resulting form is known as Archer Arios. It uses a large GN condenser instead of a GN Drive as its power source. Although the GN Archer can improve the Arios' functions while docked, it is also capable of transforming into a standalone mobile suit. Its weapons include two wide-barreled GN Beam Rifles, GN Beam Sabers, GN Vulcans and GN Missiles. Piloted by Soma Peries (Marie Parfacy), the GN Archer is first used in episode 17, to aid the Gundams defending the cities during the Break Pillar incident. It would remain as Soma's personal unit for the remainder of the series, despite protests from Allelujah Haptism. It is critically damaged during the final battle, having been struck by several suicidal Gaga units. After the battle, it is later salvaged, along with both the Cherudim Gundam and Arios Gundam.

• 0 Gundam

          The GN-000 0 Gundam is the first mobile suit powered by a GN Drive and bare the name Gundam and is the prototype for all other Gundams. The 0 Gundam makes a brief appearance during the first episode of the first season when it, then piloted by Ribbons Almark, intervenes in a battle in the Krugis Republic and is seen by a Krugis child soldier who will later be known as Setsuna F Seiei. After intervening in the battle in Krugis, the 0 Gundam is placed in storage and its GN Drive is loaned to Fereshte. After the GN Drive is returned to Celestial Being, it is installed on the 00 Gundam at the beginning of the second season. A repainted 0 Gundam equipped with a GN Condenser is brought back into service just before the final battle with the Innovators and is piloted by Lasse Aeon while defending the Ptolemaios II. However, Lesse abandons the 0 Gundam after its GN particles are depleted. Ribbons Almark recovers the 0 Gundam after stealing a GN Drive from the damaged 00 Gundam, but he and the 0 Gundam are destroyed at the end of second season during a duel with Setsuna and the fully repaired Gundam Exia.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - The Awakening of Trailblazer

Plot :

        Taking place a few months after the end of the second season, and unknown alien fragment appeared out of Jupiter and landed on a research space station in its orbit and reactivates the ship, causing it to move slowly and heading towards Earth. In Celestial Being's Asteroid Base, Ian Vashti greeted his wife, Linda, after her 2-year assignment and unloading two new GN Drives and a new incomplete Gundam, the GNT-0000 00 Qan.

In the 2 years that has passed since the defeat of the "Innovators" and A-Laws, Saji Crossroad arrived at an Earth Federation Hospital to be with Louise Halevy, who is still in medical care due to physical changes by the Innovators, while still thinks about what has happened with Celestial Being. At the same time, Marina Ismail and Shirin Bakhtiar inspected a colony construction facility when their shuttle was nearly attacked by an assassin, piloting a GNX-609T GN-XIII. However Setsuna F. Seiei arrives in a customized Flag and destroys them, with Lockon in the cockpit stopping the assassin from killing Marina and left with Setsuna.

Meanwhile, the Earth Sphere Federation had discovered a Jupiter research station heading towards earth and sends out GNX's Mobile Suits, led by Andrei Smirnov, to destroy it. Kati Mannequin arrived on boards the Celestial Being with Patrick Colasour and encounter Veda and its surviving Innovades, now serve the Federation to maintain the mothership, but later meets a newly emerging Innovator, Descartes Shaman. When a Federation staff reports the probe ship still heading towards earth despite being hit by multiple GN missiles, Descartes heads out and pilots the GNMA-Y0002V Gadelaza, successfully destroys the ship with the debris falling to earth. Not long afterward, Earth's population experienced a series of unusual events, with electronic vehicles and devices operating on their own. Later a girl arrived at her home, only to have her left hand partly turned metal and encountered a man in a space suit reaching towards her as she screams.

Billy Katagiri meets with Meena Carmine to analyze the young girl whose body has partially assimilated. Deducing that the events occurring are related to the alien lifeforms earlier, now dubbed the Extraterrestrial Living-metal Shape-shifters (ELS). During this time, Setsuna and Louise's quantum brainwaves kept giving them ominous feelings about developing events and Setsuna's concern magnified when Ptolemaios crew was unable to contact Allelujah and Marie, with Lockon and Setsuna heading off.

In the Earth Federation Hospital, Saji witness a blackout in the building with Louise started screaming as the appearance of a man in a spacesuit appeared. Saji knocked him down and escape with Louise while passing by an unconscious hospital staff, however the man tossed Saji and was about to reach to Louise until Setsuna appeared and shot the man's visor and was shocked to reveal the man was Ribbons Almark. As Setsuna kept on shooting him as he continues to walk towards him, he threw a plastique on him, which caused Ribbons to explode, but left only the bottom half moving until it shatters into liquid metallic fragments. With Saji holding Louise and asking Setsuna what has happened, which he replied he does not know. In Mongolia, a traveling Allelujah Haptism and Marie Parfacy were attacked and chased by living technology infected by the ELS. While running away from them, they see a group of Innovators that are being assimilated, and a van that was previously destroyed regenerate itself. Due to the quantum brainwave interference from the ELS, Allelujah switches personalities to Hallelujah to manage the mental stress and cause the ELS to go after him, however Lockon Stratos arrived in the GN-002RE Gundam Dynames Repair and destroyed them.

Not long afterwards, the very same Jupiter research station they thought had been destroyed reappeared and Celestial Being takes the offensive. Setsuna heads out in the 00 Raiser Condenser Type, along with Lockon in his new Gundam, the Zabanya, and Allelujah paired with Marie in the Gundam Harute and confront the ELS. Problems began to arise when Setsuna is unable to fight the ELS due to quantum brainwave interference. Compromised in battle, 00 Raiser's left arm and shoulder binders are hit and being slowly assimilated. However, Tieria Erde arrives in the Raphael Gundam and rips out 00 Raiser's infected left arm, allowing Setsuna and the team to escape. Unknown to both the Federation and Ptolemaios crew, the ELS had begun launching its forces from Jupiter's Big Red Spot, sucking in Io and Ganymede.

The Federation forces later traveled to Mars in order to discover the ELS's intentions, with Descartes heading out first in the Gadelaza and destroying most of them before the Federation's Mobile Suits forces had engaged in battle, however most of its ships and Mobile suits were assimilated, and Descartes who had destroyed almost all of the ELS was assimilated as well, killing him in the process. Celestial Being arrived too late to save the Federation soldiers and engaged in battle against them. Setsuna executes Trans-Am Burst in an attempt to communicate with the ELS, theorizing that this is the "dialogues to come" that Aeolia Schenberg was conditioning humanity for. Unfortunately, Setsuna falls victim to a mental attack from the ELS and is rendered comatose in the middle of battle, with the 00 Raiser being hit by the ELS from all directions. Tieria is forced to reveal Raphael Gundam's backpack, GN-008RE Seravee Gundam II, and forcibly rips 00 Raiser's cockpit from the frame, handing it to Lockon as Tieria tries to hold off the ELS with his quantum brainwaves. With the ELS surrounding him and assimilated both his physical body and the Raphael, Tieria activated it's Trans-Am and set it o overload, causing the Raphael to self-destruct and taking most of the ELS with him, however most of them survived but was destroyed by The Sol Brave Squadron, led by Graham Aker, and escape with the Ptolemaios. Tieria's conscious mind returns to Veda and Feldt Grace desperately awaits at Setsuna's side to awaken. After the battle, the Ptolemaios crew and the Earth Sphere Federation witness the appearance of a large moon-size ELS, with Feldt announcing it will head towards Earth in 92 days.

With most of the civilians being informed of the situation and heading towards shelters, Saji who watch the whole situation tells Louise that he's going on the Orbital Elevator to help fight the ELS as the last line of defense. In the day of the ELS's arrival, the Federation launch a counterattack against the ELS using the Celestial Being ship's main cannon. Kati, in charge of the operation, ordered to fire its main cannon, which has damaged the ELS superstructure. During this time, Tieria makes a request to Ian Vashti that a miniature Veda terminal be installed in the cockpit of 00 Qan to handle the massive amounts of information that would result from linking with the ELS again. It was also the moment Mileina Vashti confesses her love for Tieria.

During the battle, many of the Federation's Baikal-class ships and GNX-803T GN-XIVs were assimilated by the ELS, who subsequently created their own copies of the technology. Zabanya and Harute then arrived to assist the ESF in battle. Lockon uses the Zabanya's GN Rifle Bits and GN Holster Bits to destroy the ELS en masse, while Allelujah and Hallelujah combined once again, enhancing the performance of the Harute through the Marute System. Despite the much needed backup, the ELS still overwhelms the ESF forces and assimilates many ships and Mobile Suits. Meanwhile, on board the Ptolemaios 2, a still-comatose Setsuna lies in a dream-like state. There, he has visions of the first Lockon, Christina Sierra, and Lichtendahl Tsery. Setsuna then sees the flower that Feldt gave him and finally wakes up, finding Feldt at his side. After Setsuna fully recovered, he sorties in the GNT-0000 00 Qan for battle, while Feldt returns to the bridge.

In battle, Patrick's GN-XIV was hit by an ELS and is slowly assimilated as he prepares to self-destruct before saying goodbyes to Kati, when 00 Qan blasts Patrick's GNX, saving him from assimilation. Andrei Smirnov noticed one of the ELS ships heading straight for Earth and used Trans-Am in its overloading state, self-destructing his GNX and destroying the ELS ship it at the cost of his life. With a large number of ELS appearing despite the Gundam destroying most of them, the Harute was eventually assimilated and Allelujah and Marie are forces to abandon Harute. Setsuna attempts to communicate with the ELS via the Twin Drive’s quantum effect, but it is to no avail as the ELS constantly thwart Setsuna's attempts. Tieria, now a small hologram inside of the 00 Qan, tells Setsuna that Trans-Am is necessary for the dialogues. Graham Aker, now partially assimilated, decides to believe in a better future for humanity and sacrificed himself to create a hole large using Trans-Am for Setsuna to connect to the core of the ELS ship using the Quantum System. After Setsuna established contact he realized the attack was a misunderstanding as the ELS reacted violently when they encountered humans with quantum brainwaves and assimilation was their only means to understand humanity. It also revealed that the ELS's original homeworld had been consumed by a red dwarf sun and they began searching the universe for a new home. Along the way they reformed various planets and eventually found a new home, eventually setting out into the vast reaches of space to explore the universe. Through Setsuna's quantum brainwaves, the true intention of the ELS's arrival to Earth was understood, and the battle was halted. Setsuna agreed to become humanity's liaison and used the 00 Qan and quantize to the ELS homeworld. The ELS then used Setsuna's vision of the flower to alter the superstructure of their mothership, signifying the end of hostilities.

In a flashback to 2091 A.D., a much younger Aeolia Schenberg speaking with E. A. Ray, the human base for Ribbons Almark, of his plan and comments that humanity must unite if they hope to have any chance of reaching the future. Fifty years later, the flower in space is now a deep space station for intergalactic travel, with the ELS now co-existing with humanity. A ship named after Sumeragi is being prepared for travel, being crewed by Innovators (including the partially assimilated girl who is now healed). As the news correspondent is talking on camera Tierria can be seen floating by. In a undisclosed countryside, a blind and much older Marina is playing the piano and senses someone entering, who revealed himself as Setsuna, now an ELS/Innovator hybrid, fulfilling his promise to see each other once more and tells her he finally understand Marina's message of peace. Outside, an ELS winged 00 Qan covered in flowers emits GN Particles in an angelic fashion.
